The results of research into new materials are increasingly pushing the boundaries of science and technology.
Today, in materials science, it is customary to divide materials into three basic groups: metals, ceramics, and polymers.
However, Sandia Labs' materials science team has engineered a platinum-gold alloy that they believe is the most wear-resistant metal and/or alloy in the world.
A review of these researches shows that materials science is a field of research that is expected to make a leap into the future in many aspects of life.

According to the existing materials around Jinchuan mine, the basic principle is that using the wide spread and low cost raw materials for the new backfill cementing materials.
The main conclusions are as follows: (1) According to the compare experiment of new backfill cementing materials with cement materials, which get this conclusion that the new backfill cementing materials have higher cost performance than cement materials.
