The DPT [1] has been chosen for technical standardization purpose by ISO normalization to select metallic materials for hydrogen storage and transportation.
The material presented a low texture as seen from X-ray diffractions (Figure 2-b) with levels contained between 0.5 and 1.5 which is low next to textured materials where levels can reach 8.

Materials and Methods In this study, two kinds of typical metallic materials used for analysis are stainless steel 0Cr18Ni9 and aluminum alloy 2A12, including ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
It is obviously that although the materials varies, both fractal dimension D and surface roughness Ra were even close at the relative movement mode of multi-directional cross-shear, which is used widely and commonly in simulated wear tests and proved to be an effective way to investigate the wear properties of materials, especially in artificial joints, such as UHWMPE for implants in human body [11].
