The objects of machinery manufacturing process are primarily all kinds of metal materials and non-metallic materials.
Firstly, the types of materials are too much and it will make the recycling of waste products be more difficult.
Thirdly, the utilization of the materials is low and it will waste resources.
Therefore, the material resource index of remanufacturability evaluation includes three indexes including material utilization, material recycling rates and toxic or hazardous materials utilization.

Introduction Progressive damage in engineering materials and structures may be induced by materials processing, manufacturing and in-service conditions.
The presence of damage may significantly alter the stiffness and the strength of engineering materials and structures.
Thus, damage analysis is an important issue in engineering sciences such as in material sciences, mechanical engineering, civil engineering and etc.
