In order to solve the technical problems above, many test benches have been developed to investigate the properties of the friction pairs and sliding bearings with different structures and materials in water hydraulic piston pumps(WHPP).
By replacing cylinder sleeve and piston, experiments are carried out to investigate the characteristics of the pair with different geometries and pairing materials under different conditions, including speed, working pressure, etc..
By comparisons, the reasonable structures, dimensions and materials can be selected for the piston and cylinder bore design.

A Praxair Plasma Spray System with SG-100 gun was used to deposit coating materials on laser-modified H13 tool steel substrate surface.
Methodology and materials AISI H13 steel was used as substrate material and chemical composition of the substrate materials is given in Table 1.
