Electrochromic Porperties of Fluorescent Dye Doped Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) with Different Polymerization Times Xin LIa, Feiyue LIANGb and Congju LI*c Beijing Key Laboratory of Clothing Materials R&D and Assessment, School of Materials Science & Engineering, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, Beijing 100029, People’s Republic of China aclylx@bift.edu.cn, bliangfeiyue@aliyun.com, cclycongjuli@bift.edu.cn Keywords: Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene), Fluorescent dye doping, Electrochromism, Polymerization time Abstract.
Experimental Materials. 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT, C.R., Suzhou Yacoo Chemical Reagent Corporation), p-toluene sulfonic acid sodium salt (NaTos, A.R., Tianjin Guangfu Fine Chemical Research Institute.
This result indicates that doping of PEDOT with dyes at different electropolymerization times can change the electrochromic color of pure PEDOT, which will enrich the color-change range of electrochromic materials.
As now well known, switching speed of electrochromic materials can be influenced by the diffusion of the doping ionic, the thickness and morphology of the deposited electrochromism layer and the electroactivity of the film[14].
