When composite materials and structures consist of two or more different materials periodically, there will be stop band characteristic, in which there are no mechanical propagating waves.
The physical properties of PCs are not essentially determined by chemical elements and bonds in the materials, but rather on the internal specific structures.
They are created by arranging periodically two or more materials with different vibrational properties.
Acoustic band gaps in fibre composite materials are studied in [2] and band structures are calculated for 2D binary solid/solid composite systems.

This phenomenon takes place during their pursuit of basic survival and development when their lives with more materials are obtained by advanced science and technology through the process of understanding and reforming the world.
The future situation might be that the continuous usage of these resources by human will result in a low availability on raw materials [3].

Dynamic Characteristics Optimization of Joint Interface of Machine Tool Based on Porous Oily Materials Ma Jianfeng1a, Li Qiang1b, Feng Jikun1, Wu Liangsheng1 1College of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Electronics Technology, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing, 100124, China amajianfeng@bjut.edu.cn, bliqiang809@163.com Keywords: Joint Surfaces; Porous Oily Material; Structral optimazation; Stiffness and Damping Abstract: The joint interface plays a significant role in machine tools and other machineries.
Porous metallurgy materials is a new kind of materials developed within the last ten years, it has the properties of structural materials and functional materials.
Small proportion, good rigid and strength, vibration and sound absorption make it have good dynamic performance comparing with other conversional materials.
