Uno et al. [2] showed mica-based nanocomposite glass-ceramics, consisting of fine tetragonal zirconia particles, 20-50 nm in size, embedded in plate-like mica crystals, which exhibited excellent mechanical properties with bending strength of 500 MPa, fracture toughness of 3.2 MPa•m1/2 and good machinability.
Baroum and El-Raghy [3] reported that Ti3SiC2 not only could be drilled and taped using high-speed steel tools, but also had a fracture strength up to 600 MPa.

However, Male et al.[11] found that maximum concentration of gold salt (HAuCl4.3H2O) when used NaBH4 as reducing agent must be kept below 0.25 mM, or else aggregation occurs quickly, compared to 1 mM for the citrate reduction method.

It has been reported that additions of rare earth modified the α-Al grains and eutectic Si phases in its as-cast state (Pandee et al., 2017).
Currently, Tantiwaitayaphan et al. [2017] investigated the modification of eutectic Si in hypoeutectic Al-Si alloys with Erbium addition.
A lot of researchers have reported on the effects of rare earth elements, microstructures, and mechanical properties (Xu et al., 2015; Mahmoud et al., 2017; Jia et al., 2017 ).
Ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and elongation (EL) to failure were measured.

The rare-earth (RE) doping of Si and Si-related materials [1-5] in the last years has been extensively studied for the development of light-emitting devices in the Si-based optoelectronics initiated by the reports on the photoluminescence (PL) and electroluminescence (EL) centered at around 1.54 μm of Er3+ (4I13/2→4I15/2) in Si [6].
The He stopping power used here was presented by Chu et al.’s book [10].
