Abstract.
The aim is to understand the photocatalytic reaction between microbial and photocatalyst materials in order to find the optimized system for water disinfection.
The purification process of water may reduce the concentration of particulate matter including suspended particles, parasites, bacteria, viruses, fungi and a range of dissolved and particulate materials.
The ion exchange process percolates water through bead-like spherical resin materials (ion-exchange resins).
