Introduction Magnesium matrix composites have attracted increasing attention in recent years as light weight engineering materials because they offer a unique combination of mechanical properties that are difficult or impossible to obtain from monolithic magnesium alloys.
The addition of ceramic reinforcements to Mg matrix leads to modifications in the matrix properties.
It is expected that the high temperature mechanical properties of magnesium alloys can be improved significantly if it is reinforced by dispersed nano-size ceramic particles.

The obtained data will solve many technical problems associated with dimensional nonvariance in the electronic, oil and gas, optical industry, medicine and rocket engineering.
The main application of these materials is found as an additive to compensate for thermal expansion in composite materials for the optical-mechanical, electronic and engineering industries [7].
