The range of application is wide, covering many materials and virtually unlimited geometries.
Traditionally carried out on 3 axis adapted milling machines, SPIF has been also tested on flexible robots [5], but at the spent of using very thin sheets and soft materials to reduce the amount of forces during the process.
To evaluate the influence on formability, the well-known conical frustrum geometry ([4], Fig. 7), a cone with increasing wall angle, was carried out for the range of tool orientations in study and for the materials considered.
For a small value of tool tilt (10º) the maximum wall angle actually decreases for both aluminium and steel materials.

Abstract.
After the yielding point, [Gly-Ala]n shows a systematical conformational change where the side chains act cooperatively behaving like brittle materials like ceramics while [Gly-Ser-Gly-Ala-Gly-Ala]n model exhibit first gradual conformational change then a cooperative conformational change like the first one.
