Experimental Research on the Permanent Prestress of Transverse Prestressing Bundle for the Xiangjiang Yinpenling Bridge Si-ping Lu1,a, Ming-jian Zhao2,b 1School of Civil Engineering, Central South University, Changsha 410075,China 2Weifang Municipal Engineering Design Institute, Weifang 261031, China asiping1018@126.com b 383226929@qq.com Keywords: Transverse prestressing bundles; Permanent prestress; Damage inspection Abstract.
But in civil engineering, it still has not been found a feasible and successful use of structural dynamic characteristics to determine the prestress loss.
In civil engineering, stress releasing method is widely used in metal materials, especially for steel material.
After field testing, intercepting tested wires are used for tensile strength and elastic modulus measurement in the Civil Engineering Testing Center of Central South University (see Table 6).

Design Method of the Cable Saddle for CFRP Main Cable in Long-span Suspension Bridge Hongyu Zheng1, a, Huaiyan Jiang2,b and Zhitao Lu3,c 1College of Civil and Architecture Engineering, Guangxi University, Nanning, Guangxi, 530004, China 2Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction, Nanning, Guangxi, 530003, China 3College of Civil Engineering, Southeast University, Nanjing, Jiangsu, 210096, China azhenghyu@gxu.edu.cn, bjianghuanyan@163.com, cluzhitao@seu.edu.cn Key words: Suspension Bridge; Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP); Cable; Saddle, Contact.
Within the proposed scheme, two types of combined suspension and cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 5000m were interested by world-wide engineers.
The new material for civil engineering – fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) is excellent in some characters such as non-corrosion, light weight, high strength and fatigue durability, which is suitable for cables of long-span suspension bridge to provide a solution to the above problems.
Another weakness is its poor strength in radial direction, about 10% of the tension strength in fiber direction [2], which brings great challenge to engineers on cable anchoring, fixing on saddles and catching by cable clips.
