The average water temperature after complete mixing was calculated based on the heat exchange theory, and was consistent with the numerical result of temperature simulation.
The capacity of the reservoir under a certain water level was gained with the method of volume integration, which can be done using the report function of a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software of Telemac-2D.

Several transient simulations using MATLAB and Simulink have been reported but little has been said about the extended part of the latter tool.
The transient equations were formed by MATLAB software during simulation based on the relationship among the Simulink-simscape blocks.
This is shown in Fig. 4, in which sandstone dissipated more and extended energy at the later part of the simulation period.

Because it is necessary to minimize the computational domain to a minimum for computational reasons, key elements in the numerical simulation is the treatment of reflection from model structures such as a breakwater or sea wall.
In the paper, CFD software FLUENT is used as the foundation to develop the numerical wave flume.
Numerical simulation of progressive wave and standing wave was carried out to cheek if the module works well.
