Spherical steel slag filter material with high porosity, large specific surface area was made by using steel slag as the main raw material, adding binder and pore forming agent.

Large concentrations difference of phosphorus between the surface of filter material and the solution is advantageous to the phosphorus migration to the surface of the filter material.
