The properties and the performance of Thermally Stable Diamond Composite (TSDC) directly affect the applications of TSDC in engineering.
Introduction Due to the attractive material properties of high wear resistance and high compressive strength, as well as the capability to maintain these superior properties at high temperature (>1000oC) [1], the Thermally Stable Diamond Composite (TSDC) has attracted the attention of engineers and researchers for a long time, especially for its applications in engineering.
To enable the TSDC tipped picks to be used effectively in industry, it is necessary to understand the performance and failure characteristics of the TSDC rock cutting tips in rock cutting production processes, especially in the variable engineering environments such as mining and tunnelling.
It is jointly determined by drum rotational speed n (rpm) and drum advance speed V (m/min).

Engineering needs to focus on smart materials' scientific application to planning and maintaining infrastructure.
We came to the conclusion that engineering can benefit from the effectiveness of using smart materials in smart structures.

Resources comprehensive utilization ratio is only about 30% of the world advanced level, and the utilization rate of fly ash is about 40%, coal gangue is less than 35%.
If government encourages the investment in energy saving equipment, advanced technology, reducing cost, improving management mechanism and provides the corresponding funds subsidies, the development of comprehensive utilization of coal resources will be stimulated.
