Roughness is an important perceptual characteristic of material surfaces.
Surface textures resembling natural materials were generated with different roughness.
We used four procedural texture models including fractal(Fourier spectral synthesis)[4], perlin noise[5], folding-fractal, folding-perlin to produce surface textures resembling natural materials.

Refractive index and Abbe number are major physical properties of optical materials including glasses and transparent polymers.
Moreover, it could even go negative with some artificially engineered structures or materials, so-called, metamaterials [3, 4].
Note that these anisotropic materials will not be in the scope of our optical system design, where here we focus on the accuracy of the measurement of isotropic materials.

Many materials show viscoelastic properties under long term load, because of the complexity of viscoelastic problem, it is not enough for describing the characteristics of material and structure with classic viscoelastic model.
Along with the development of chemical industry and application of polymer materials, Only by using the elastic and plastic theory to study the thick-walled cylinder mechanical problems cannot reflect the viscoelastic properties of materials because of polymer, rubber and other materials have the properties of elastic solid and viscous fluid, and the demand for material performance index becomes higher and higher.
