What’s more, the workpiece material was often confined to SiCp/Al fabricated by conventional method.
The present study intends to enhance the understanding of the high speed milling machinability of silicon carbide particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites (SiCp/Al) and high speed turning machinability of titanium carbide particle reinforced titanium matrix composites (TiCp/TC4) by investigating the details of the polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tools wear, surface finish, cutting forces and chip formation.
As shown in Fig.7(a), under present experimental conditions, a flow type chip was generally formed during high speed milling of SiCp/Al composites.

There are few data available to check results: Riquelme et al. [20] recalculated the data from Martinez et al. [23] obtaining a diffusion coefficient of 1.538 u, being u defined to be 10−9 m2 s−1 for conciseness.
More interestingly, Riquelme et al. [20] gave several experimental results for different diffusion times, which, with some caution, can be used for a comparison.
Some caution must be used in the comparison, because the data by Riquelme et al. [20] did not match perfectly with the expected value by Martinez et al. [23] and some systematic error may exist [20].

Different morphologies of BaCO3 have been fabricated via different synthesis routes [1-6], for example, Xu et al. [3] successfully synthesized uniform hexagonal pencil-like BaCO3 whiskers by the chemical reaction of barium chloride and urea via a facile hydrothermal route; Ma et al. [4] synthesized BaCO3 with different morphologies including rod-like, bundle-like and flower-like using Ba(NO3)2 and (NH4)2CO3 in water.
Du et al. [7] synthesized mesoporous SrCO3 spheres with diameter ranging from 200 to 400 nm in 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidinium lactate, and Chen et al. [10] prepared SiO2 nanoparticles in ionic liquid of 1-methyl-3-butylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate.
Scheme 1 The chemical structure of the ionic liquid used: (a) 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride and (b) 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide Method of synthesizing crystals The method of synthesizing crystals is according to the report of Aizenberg et al. [11].

Nishimura et al. have been reported the sintering of silicon nitride ceramics at lower sintering temperatures and soaking times than conventional GPS or hot pressing methods.
Mechanical behaviour of composites sintered at 1500°C are in good agreement with work of Ceja-Cárdenas et al. [16].
Pasupuleti et al. also reported an increase in KIC from 4.8 to 6.6MPa.m1/2 with 1 wt.% of MWCNTs, but this increase may be as well due to the greater fraction of elongated Si3N4 grains in the composite producing the well known in situ toughening [20].

In the literature, a lot of work has been devoted to the mechanical properties and texture evolution of deformed and aged Mg-Al-Zn alloys.
Mizera et al. [3] reported results on the correlation between the morphological and crystallographic textures in Al-Li industrial alloy [3].
Using a crystal plasticity finite element method, Prakash et al. [7] studied the deformation characteristics of magnesium alloy AZ31.

The Garandet et al. [1] proposed an analytical solution to the governing equations of magneto hydrodynamics to be used to model the effect of a transverse magnetic field on natural convection in a two-dimensional enclosure.
Al-Najem et al. [2] used the power law control volume approach to determine the flow and temperature fields under a transverse magnetic field in a tilted square enclosure with isothermal vertical walls and adiabatic horizontal walls at Prandtl number of 0.71 and showed that the suppression effect of the magnetic field on convection currents and heat transfer is more significant for low inclination angles and high Grashof numbers.
Pirmohammadi et al. [4] studied the effect of a magnetic field on buoyancy-driven convection in differentially heated square enclosure.

Some excellent glass formers contain only transition metals, such as the system of Zr-Al-Ni-Cu.
Similar observations, regarding the glass-forming ability of melt-spun Zr-Be-Ni-Ti alloys, were made by Bassu et al. [21]. 3.2 .
