Preface
The 1st Environment-Enhancing Technology and Material Science International
Congress was held successfully on Minhang Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong
University on 6-8th December, 2013.
The Environment-Enhancing material science and technologies should be economically viable, environmentally sustainable and have the potential to ultimately meet the human need for liquid fuel.
We envision that Environment-Enhancing material science and technology should be explored aiming at meeting our entire fuel need, achieving net-zero carbon emission and water use, and recycle the nutrient in the feedstock.
During this congress, the attending scholars presented the applications of environment-enhancing technologies, especially those related to material science, in China and other parts of the world.
Jiang investigated the antimicrobial effect of nano-SiO2 particles in gelatin and chitosan based wound dressing materials.

When the material property was assumed as plastic, the kinematics hardening rule was adopted to simulate the loading and unloading behavior of the material.

The reflectance became minimum when the length arrive at 50% of wavelength, it get maximum when size reach 90% of wavelength, then it has a small decrease till 100%.
1.Introduction
Magnetostrictive guided wave detection technology is based on the theory of magnetostrictive effect of ferromagnetic materials.When ferromagnetic material effected by an external magnetic field, the dimensions is changed and the magnetostrictive strain is produced.The magnetostrictive effect is the inherent characteristics of the ferromagnetic materials.

However, the effect of ECAE is different for different materials or die arrangements [8, 9].

The material composition,mineralogical composition and structure,genetic type and characteristics of shear stress and strain of weak intercalated layer in dam foundation of Datengxiapower station are analyzed,the valuation rule of the shear strength of weak intercalated layer with plasticfailure mode is discussed,and finally the recommended geological value of shear strength of weak intercalated layer in this project is proposed.
