Currently, the reinforcement of intermetallic compounds is carried out by dispersed particles.
However, alloys with a fine-grained structure have a reduced creep resistance.
It is known that the production of magnesium and aluminum alloys is carried out by dissolving in the melt double and ternary master alloys, which are produced by fusing the components, using metallothermic reduction of alloying components from their compounds (for example, oxides or fluorides) or electrolysis.
In recent years, there has been a tendency to produce more complex master alloys, for example, ternary or quadruple.
It was found that ternary master alloys can be effectively used in the production of alloys based on light metals.

Aluminium alloys are among the metals that can be easily passivated, demonstrating notable anticorrosion properties.
According to the above, the aim of this work was focused on the examination of the anti-corrosion properties of aluminium alloy 6061 with nanoscale compounds that are integrated into a protective coating.

Introduction Many studies conducted to analyze the structural and morphological changes of organic compounds in ambient pressure have been done.
Nevertheless, to get a better understanding of the nucleation process and especially the determination of the influence of hydrogen on the synthesis process, the study of the carbonization-graphitization of organic compounds has been a subject of recent research.
This treatment aimed to produce anthracene carbonization.

Cast Magnesium alloys often exhibit large variability in fracture related properties such as ductility.
Mg alloys also offer good cast-ability, which enable them to maximize design freedom.
The present study aims to investigate the dependence of tensile properties on the microporosity variation of HPDC AM50 alloys, and to conclude the effect of microporosity on the formation and propagation of fracture.
The eutectic phases arranging along grain boundaries mainly consist of Mg17Al12 and AlMn intermetallic compounds, which was identified by EDX results (see in Fig. 1f - h).

Therefore, silane based coatings may be a good option for improving the corrosion resistance of the magnesium alloys.
The aim of this study is, therefore, to develop a phosphonato silane based coating on Mg-6Zn-Ca alloy using sol-gel technique to improve corrosion resistance of the alloy.
Metals and alloys generally require a surface pre-treatment for effective adherence of silanes.
Therefore, the change in pH in the bare and the coated alloys was monitored throughout the corrosion tests.

Commercially pure titanium and its alloys have been widely applied as implant materials with excellent long-term results and present benefits compared to other metal biomaterials because of the good mechanical strength and modulus of elasticity with values close to those of the bone.
Among the metal materials, titanium and its alloys have great features, as they have good resistance to corrosion in body fluids and good mechanical properties, such as flexibility and tensile strength.

In particular, the corrosion performance of magnesium alloys represents one of the most prominent problems.
Some of the inter-metallic compounds can be formed at interface between dissimilar metals after heat treatments.
The fracture of the Al/TRC Mg/Al composites annealed at or above 300 °C was initiated from the interface influenced by brittle behavior of inter-metallic compounds, followed by fracture of TRC AZ31 alloy.
