Synthesis and Characterization of Hydroxyapatite on Collagen Gel
Lídia A.
Several techniques like electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction and infrared spectroscopy were employed to characterize the materials produced.
XRD analysis (Figure 3) showed a general pattern typical of calcium-deficient hydroxyapatite (CD-HA, Ca10-x(HPO4)x(PO4)6-x(OH)2-x) for both materials [7].

Unlike traditional pressure sensitive
adhesives (PSA) like scotch® tape, biomimetic dry adhesives use stiffer materials that are
structured into thin fibers, which can then behave as a much softer material.
Micro-masking is a well-known problem in silicon reactive ion etching and occurs when masking materials are sputtered and redeposited, which result in uneven etching, and rough surfaces [12].

Experimental
Hardened W6Mo5Cr4V2 high-speed steel (HSS) (about HRC65) with a size of φ30×10mm and Si(100) wafer were used as the substrate materials.
Then galvanic cell is formed at near the interface since ceramic coatings are electrochemically more stable than most substrate materials.
