This could be due to the fact that the physical parameters for the optical properties of the materials considered in the simulation are not identical to those used in practice.
For a given thickness of shielding, materials prepared from high Z and high-density components, such as lead, offer superior attenuation to less dense, low Z materials.

After transverse shrinking cracks formed through the base course, if the cohesion between the upper-lower base courses or base-subbase courses is weak, the tensile stress at the bottom of the base course under loading process may reach the materials’ strength.
