Abstract: In this paper, the rare-earth oxide Al2O3 combined with La2O3 served as sintering additives and commercial α-SiC powder were applied to fabricate SiC ceramics by pressure-less sintering technology.
All of the sintered materials were compact and their surface was smooth.
