Gunasegaram at el. [3] have studied the factors that affect shrinkage porosity in permanent mold casting in commercial mass production.
For Al-Si alloy grain refining, TiBor (Al-5Ti-1B master alloy) is a most widely used throughout the casting industry [5-7].

Brazing normally decreases creep strength, and liquid state diffusion welding has casting defects, caused by oxidation of Al, Ti elements or segregation [1, 2].

In both MCrAlY and NiAl-based coatings, the Al-rich b-phase (bcc; B2) serves as an Al reservoir for the formation of a protective a-alumina scale.
Several studies have shown that the latter mechanism may contribute more to the overall Al depletion than the former one does, although repeated spallation of the a-alumina scale may accelerate the loss of Al due to oxidation.
In the simulations by Campbell at el. the amounts of secondary phases present (i.e. g´+ MC carbide) is relatively low (<35%) and the assumptions which underly using the disperse diffusion model are thus still valid.
Symbols are experimental data from Campbell et al [22].

Recently, Arrazola, Garay, et al [6] researched about the machinability of Ti555.3 and Ti6Al4V using conventional cooling method and uncoated cemented carbide (grade K15, micrograin) tool.
Experimental set-up The tool wear experiments were carried out on titanium alloy Ti6Al4V, with 6 wt.% Al and 4 wt.% V content, under the following conditions: l Workpiece: Ti-6AL-4V bar, solution-treated and aged.

Adachi et al. [6] proposed a future cast system with an evaluation of the similarity between the combined features using the Spearman rank correlation coefficient for the system.
Liu et al. [7] proposes an optimal scheme of feature selection for the fusion technique of speaker verification by Maximum Kullback-Leibler (MKL) Distance.
This optimal scheme has been in accordance with Murty et al.[11]’s conclusions.
