Abstract: Corundum–mullite based ceramic foams were prepared by adopting foam impregnation process with raw talc and kyanite as modifiers.
Introduction Ceramic foams, the third generation porous ceramics with the characteristics of high temperature resistance, good corrosion resistance, high strength and 3D net configuration, are widely used in the fields of chemical engineering, metallurgy, environmental protection, energy, aerospace, photoelectrical sensor, biological materials and so on[1-3].
