Thereby facilities are information flow tools, control technology or materials-handling technologies which consist of one or more devices in turn.
The last one includes the energy demand for lightening, conveyor technology, information technology ventilation and fire protection. 31% of the power demand is ascribed to the materials handling.
The present method uses these values less the demand of materials handling to determine the energy demand of logistics workplaces.
For this purpose they consider the materials-flow technology, the facility technology, the facility structure with windows, gates, etc. and the mutual interaction between these components.
