Finally, Al electrodes of 40 nm thickness was deposited on p-Si and ZnO nanowire surface by magnetron sputtering.
The sample was then characterized by FESEM, XRD, PL and EL.
Figure 3 (b) shows the electroluminescence(EL) spectra of the device under different voltage.
According to previous reports on p-Si/n-ZnO thin film device[17], a possible mechanism is proposed to explain the EL result.

Papanicolaou et al [3] compared the bearing and deformation capacity of masonry walls under cyclic loading, which were reinforced by Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP), GFRP and BFRP laminates respectively.
Zhang et al [4] studied the force and deformation characteristics of masonry walls strengthened with various reinforcement schemes using CFRP laminates through quasi-static test.
Gu et al [5] analyzed the shear strength of masonry walls with door or window openings strengthened with CFRP and proposed the corresponding computational model based on tie bar mechanism.

In transition metals, the influence of temperature on the vacancy parameters has been partially studied in the case of Ta [22] and W [23] by taking into account the electronic contribution to the vacancy formation (Sf el ) and migration (Sm el ) entropy.
The approximate linear temperature dependence of Sm el and Sf el leads to a quadratic temperature dependence of Hm el and Hf el (the corresponding enthalpy values), which however falls short to explain the temperature dependence of the activation energy in tungsten.
This has been confirmed by calculations performed in Al [28].
Concerning the vacancy migration energy in Fe, disparate experimental results have been published: Schaefer et al. [52] reported a value of 1.28 eV, while Vehanen et al. [53] found 0.55 eV.
In the absence of B impurities, thermal vacancies are stabilized by Al antisites in Al-rich alloys.
