The materials tested reflected the types of subbases used in those times for supporting concrete pavements.
These materials included loam, clay, old macadam, gravel, and sand.
For the most part, loose materials were used as compared to the bound materials used in today's subbases.
It was obvious that less force was required to move the test slabs for equivalent subbase materials.
All materials gave curves showing hysteresis during cyclical movements.

Energy analysis is the traditional method of assessing the way energy is used in an operation involving the physical or chemical processing of materials and the transfer and/or conversion of energy.
Materials and Methods Data Collection: Data such as average daily power generated, mass flow rate (air, fuel and turbine exhaust), pressure and temperature (of different points as stated in Figures 1 and 2) used for this study were collected from the plant’s log book and Omotosho Power Station Phase I Final Report[7].

Introduction The raw materials Baiyanobo ore is a kind of compound mineral deposite, which contains iron, niobium, rare earth, fluorine, potassium, sodium and other elements [1].
Practice shows that the radioactivity of slag cement is lower than the limitation standard, which is made from raw materials containing less than 30 percent blast furnace slag, and its industrial production has been realized.
Slag wastes to produce glass-ceramic, glass-ceramic as a new generation of building and furnishing materials has both the characteristics of glass and ceramics, both series of excellent performance, glass-ceramic has attracted worldwide favor [3-6].

Furthermore, the layered built-up and the according manufacturing processes of these materials give the possibility to integrate functional elements, like electronic components or piezoelectric sensor/actuator modules.
Thus, these innovative materials allow the development of a new generation of function-integrative lightweight structures with material-integrated structural health monitoring, energy harvesting, or active vibration damping functionalities [1-2].
∆Q=C1∙(U1-U2 ) (1) Thermoplastic materials and in particular the used polyamide 6 (PA6) show a high dependency of their dielectric properties according to temperature or humidity.
In this case, the elevated conductivity can be caused by filler materials in the thermoplastic matrix system.
