However, BMGs often show little global plasticity at room temperature, which is the major obstacle for being used as structural materials [1-6].
Among these materials, Zr-RE (La, Y, Ce, Be)-TM (Fe, Ni, Ti, Mo) have been found to exhibit a particularly beneficial combination of high strength and low density, making them promising candidates for engineering applications [4,5] such as sporting equipment.
