It is comprised of martensite and compound such as carbides and nitrides, and a certain number of oxides.
In order to get hardfacing alloy which has high strength and well wear resistance, nitrogen is put into the hardfacing alloy materials instead of a part of carbon, and some microalloy elements such as Nb and V are added to aiming at forming carbonitride.

The majority of Nd2Fe14B alloys are Fe-based, so these alloys have very low corrosion resistance besides the Nd metal which is also very reactive at oxygen binding at room temperature.

The quenching is one of the most used mechanisms for increase the strength of aluminum alloys sheets.
Introduction The typical heat treatment for heat treatable aluminum alloys is the solution heat treatment at around 500 °C (the temperature being very close to the melting point of each alloy) to ensure that all hardening compounds are dissolved in the solution [1].
Water is the most widely used coolant for all aluminum alloys.

Nitriding is a well-established thermochemical surface treatment of carbon micro-alloyed steels aiming enhancing surface properties such as fatigue, wear and corrosion resistances.
Based on experimental characterizations of model carbon iron-based alloys, the role of phase transformations, especially carbides, is explored in order to give better understandings of the residual stress development during nitriding.
Introduction Residual stress in nitrided iron-based alloys arise through the generation of chemically induced misfits according to nitrogen addition and the precipitation of fine MN nitrides (M = Cr, V, Mo…) [1].
A depletion of carbon, and respectively an enrichment, characterizes the compound-diffusion interface (35 µm), respectively the nitrogen diffusion front (400 µm).

This paper is aimed to design and implement a model for speed control system of 3 phase induction motor based on Programmable logic controller (PLC) technology that will move the silicon brass bar after pulling to the recrystallization annealing stage of the Production line.
The HSi65-1.5 alloy is a single phase alloy.
The zinc and silicon contents of the HSi65-1.5 alloy are low enough that the alloying elements remain in solid solution.
The coring occurs because the alloys solidify over a wide temperature range, which allows segregation of the alloying elements.

Recently, most of the implant materials used in orthopedic surgery are made of titanium alloys.
However, at certain temperatures, HA can decompose partially to form other compounds.

However, the corroding rate of Mg alloys is too fast to satisfy mechanical integrity before the tissue has healed, which limited Mg alloys using as biodegradable materials in the orthopaedic and cardiovascular applications.
To explore a novel and more practical route for possible large-scale application of metal matrix composite (MMC) based on Mg alloys, the use of reinforcement to improve mechanical and corrosion properties in Mg alloys is considered.
Little is known of the effect of ceramic particles on the microstructure of Mg alloys.
By XRD analysis, the microstructure of Mg-Zn-Zr alloy consists of Mg matrix and eutectic compounds.
These high impacts can lead to strengthening and toughening of Mg alloys.

Foreword The DX center is a defect present in Gallium Arsenide and related alloys when these materials are doped with n-type impurities.
The understanding of the physical processes which lead to its existence will allow to select the alloys (nature, composition and quality - ordered or disordered) and the new materials, such as superlattices, to be used in devices.
However, the numerous presentations which are currently made at various international conferences (on GaAs and related compounds, semi-insulating III-V materials, etc.), probably because too often given by same group, do not reflect this trend.
However, the book does not contain general reviews on GaAs and GaAIAs because recent, excellent ones already exist in the Journal of Applied Physics by J.S.
In conclusion, the book is intended for the specialists who study or use GaAs and related alloys.

The REBaCu materials are obtained by physical mixture of the compounds and sintering process at a specifically temperature.
The X-ray Diffraction technique was used to characterize the powder compounds.
Matsuoka et al. (2002) studied the degradation of YBa2Cu3Oy (Y123) and NdBa2Cu3Oy (Nd123) by soaking the films in ultrapure water at room temperature and showed that, on the surface of the compounds, were found water crystals adsorbed on all alloy surfaces [14].
By the results showed, it is also possible to conclude that the fusion temperature of the compounds decreased as the amount of barium carbonate used becomes smaller.
