Therefore, the Taiwanese government requires that AC systems of public buildings be inspected and their efficiency improved by professionals every eight years.
This program focuses on strategies that require little expenditure when retrofitting existing AC, lighting, and water-heating systems.
The most frequently adopted improvement measure was the cold water distribution system retrofit, followed by the cold air distribution system retrofit and water heating system retrofit (Table 1).
