There were many researchers [3] applied the similar approximation method to obtain elastic
constants of orthotropic materials.
The method basically uses the natural frequencies from experiment and then applies inverse method to calculate the mechanical properties of materials.

The acoustical properties of polyester/ramie fibre composite materials that was applied as a sound absorbing material is discussed in this paper.
Experimental Procedure Materials The composite materials used in this research consisted of matrix and reinforcement.
In addition to the two main materials above, NaOH was used to clean the fibre.

The raw materials (recycled glass powder and ball clay) are characterised by Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) and its composition is determine by X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF).
The chemical compositions of the raw materials are shown in Table 1.
Results and discussions Thermal analysis of raw materials.
Fig. 1 (a), the endothermic peaks appearing at 87 °C and 260 °C, whereas, in Fig. 1 (b) the endothermic peaks occurring at 87 °C and 254 °C which attributed to minerals dehydration of both materials.
Yahlizade: submitted to International Journal of Environmental Science and Engineering Vol. 1, 202-207 (2009)
