For the CFRP is twined around the column, it can limit the lateral deformation of internal materials.
From the figure 3(2) to (5), we can conclude that all the materials are yield in the pressure area.
In elastic-plastic stage, most of the materials are yield and the bearing capacity of the column increase slowly.
The bearing capacity will rise to the peak when most of the materials reach to be yield.
