Electro discharge machining (EDM) can be used to manufacture complex shapes in high hardness materials, but the material should be conductive.
Now EDM is widely used in industry for obtaining relatively smoother surfaces at reasonable MRR and moderate cost especially with hard conductive materials [3].
Recently, many researchers studied the effect of EDM parameters on material removal rate [6] and surface quality [7], especially for hard materials, but they did not cover all the levels of EDM parameters.

The efficiency of these developed materials, however, is still low at present.
Nevertheless, the catalytic activity of PTA mainly depends on the type of support materials.
Low interaction between PTA and support materials will result in the difficulty of loading[4].
