Experimental procedure Raw material Industrial silicon carbide powder (600 mesh), metallic silicon powder, silica powder (600 mesh), MgO powder (purity: 99.99%), nitrogen and ethanol.
The first one is the profile of raw material after milling for 40 h.
Because amorphous SiO2 is used as raw material, none SiO2 peaks are seen in the figure.

Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of SiC-TiB2 Composite Prepared by Pressureless Sintering XinYan Yuea, JianJun Wangb, Qi Sunc and HongQiang Rud Key laboratory for anisotropy and texture of materials (MOE), School of materials and metallurgy, Northeastern University, Shenyang 110004, China ayuexy@smm.neu.edu.cn, bwangjj@smm.neu.edu.cn, c879412173@qq.com, druhq@smm.neu.edu.cn Keywords: SiC-TiB2 Composite; Pressureless sintering; Microstructures; Mechanical properties Abstract.
In order to improve the properties of SiC, some additions such as TiC, B4C and TiB2 [2-5], were used to synthesize SiC-based materials.
Experimental Procedures SiC (d50 = 1 mm), B4C (d50 = 3.5 mm), TiO2 (d50 = 1 mm), C (d50 = 3 mm) and phenolic resin were used as the starting materials.
Then the hardness of the material decreased with increasing the B4C-C content.

The OCTG material is supposed to be perfect elastic-plastic.
The radial and circumferential stresses can obtain from elastic and plastic mechanics [4]: (2) The von Mises yield criterion is: (3) For τθz=0, the through-wall thickness yield internal pressure Pi is: (4) For a von Mises material, a burst formula for an end-capped OCTG is: (5) It is well known that the yield-to-tensile strength ratio, i.e., Y/T, reflects the strain hardening response of materials, and can significantly influence failure behavior of OCTGs [3,5,6,7].
So this paper develops a criterion that incorporates the influence of Y/T on the fracture failure pressure of casing and tubing without defects and a predictive model for end-capped conditions is first formulated as a function of Y/T for OCTG materials.

Semiconducting optoelectronic materials play a very important role during a form of application thanks to their distinctive optical, electrical and magnetic properties.
Modification of those properties of semiconductor materials depends upon the scale, shape, morphology and dimensions of material.

But for concrete which has complex multiphase and heterogeneous materials, rebound values and compressive strength do not have a exclusive relationship[5].
The hardness and strength of the different materials have no certain relationship[4].
