In the determination of plane strain fracture toughness test [9], CT specimen is recommended by ASTM E1547, especially used for assessment and research of the nuclear pressure vessel materials.

Seismic damage simulation of arch dam Considering the heterogeneity intrinsic to concrete materials, the authors have proposed a procedure to take into account the influence of this heterogeneity in the seismic damage simulation of concrete dams[4][5].In the presented paper, this procedure was employed to model damage process of an arch dam through Monte-Carlo analysis.
The uncertainty in ground motion input (peak ground motion), materials properties of concrete and heterogeneity of concrete are considered. 3.
In the current research, the numerical approached was used, the uncertainty in ground motion input and material properties of concrete was considered.

This improves the physical properties of these hexaferrites; therefore, they can be used in telecommunication applications, to increase the operational frequency of electronic devices, and as microwave absorbing materials.
Increasing the dopant concentration in W-type hexaferrites delivers better results in saturation magnetization, coercive field, and remnant magnetization; therefore, these materials can be used in high density and perpendicular magnetic recording medium applications [4].
The value of Mr/Ms obtained is 0.04, which suggests that the new hexaferrite has multiple magnetic domains; this is a behavior exhibited by ferrimagnetics materials (Mr/Ms < 0.5).
The coercivity of magnetic materials is directly correlated with magnetocrystalline anisotropy (Ha) according to the equation Ha = 2k1/Ms, (1) where k1 is the first anisotropy constant.
