Introduction Most engineered materials, including metals and ceramics, are polycrystalline- that is, they are composed of myriad, small, crystalline grains, separated by interfaces or boundaries [1, 2].
Understanding the topology of grains and the nearest-neighbor relations within the grain network is critical for a wide array of materials science problems, including the evolution of grain structures, phase transformations and prediction of materials properties at elevated temperatures.

It is necessary to analyze and evaluate the effect of the pipelines’ insulation so that we can improve the insulation material selection and optimize the insulation construction design [3].At present, studies on insulation materials sinking and seam in lap joints of insulation protection casing are insufficient.
(1) There is no heat transfer in the axial direction; (2) Characteristics of the materials is uniform in all directions; (3) The thickness and thermal resistance of iron casing can be negligible; (4) Convection thermal resistance between vapor and wall and conduction thermal resistance of the wall can be negligible.

Owning to the lack of the measured parameters of unsaturated soil hydraulics, this calculations refer to a similar rock and soil materials, and least square method are used to fit into parameters in the Van Genuchten model, and therefore resulting the corresponding soil water characteristic curve is shown in figure 3 and figure 4.
