Materials.
It is well known that fatigue cracks mostly originate at the surface of materials, while a compressive surface layer will prevent crack opening and growth.

The paper presents new results in the building materials area.
Introduction Concrete and reinforced concrete structures and elements occupy one of the leading positions in the field of building materials.
Therefore, high quality concrete can have broad applications, e.g. it can be used in constructing airstrips and special road lanes of high operation intensity requiring materials of high environmental purity.

Recently as a new harvest of the bandgap engineering of the semiconductor, OPS-VECSEL is a promising candidate of a high quality laser in science research and industry process.
Compared OPS-VECSEL to solid-state lasers, the new type of laser may provide significantly increased wavelength variability by material selection and bandgap engineering of the semiconductor.
By building up the material storage and setting optical power density, center wavelength, threshold, scan step size and calculation precision, the output characteristics of these devices were calculated.

Abstract: A microwave technique assisted with granular active carbon(GAC) was used for the degradation of p-nitrophenol(PNP) wastewater.
Microwave (MW) is an energy composed of an electric field and magnetic field, which frequency range from 300 MHz to300GHz and can provide rapid heating of materials.
GAC is an excellent MW absorbing material to convert MW energy into thermal energy [12].
