The steel strand used for prestressed steel has a nominal diameter of 15.2 mm, a characteristic value of strength of 1823 MPa for material test.

This new material could replace, locally, the current material used in the main structure
of the exhaust system (AISI 316L).
The widespread use of this class of materials is mainly due to their thermomechanical properties, such as high working temperature, high resistance to corrosion and erosion and relatively high yield and tensile strengths.
