Introduction The determination of direct band gap of InN (around 0.7eV) [1], has made InGaN semiconductor as the most promising materials for optoelectronics such as light emitting diodes (LED) and laser diodes [2].
A continuum of band gaps can be obtained by changing the compositions of Indium and Gallium making it relatively easier for MOVPE and Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) growth processes limiting the number of material sources compared to other III-V materials.
InGaN is also used in direct hydrogen generation from aqueous solution of water by photoelectro-chemical effect [4] and has less radiation damage than other photovoltaic materials that are commonly used today [5].
