Recently, Milititsky et al. [3] reported that the addition of Cu to the 18Cr-(12,18)Mn-(0.3~0.5)N steels was effective in improving low-temperature toughness because an increase in stacking fault energy associated with Cu alloying may reduce the planarity of the deformation microstructure by allowing cross-slip to occur.
