The basic principle of the piezoelectric energy harvesting The basic principle of the Piezoelectric energy harvester is based on the piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric materials: When piezoelectric materials deformers by external force, it causes internal dipole asymmetry and polarization, while generating the positive and negative charge on its surface, this phenomenon is called the piezoelectric effect.
Conversely, if applying electric field in the polarization direction of the piezoelectric materials, material will appear stretch deformation, called the inverse piezoelectric effect.
