As a versatile industrial raw materials, it has been widely used as modifiers of the phenolic resin, rubber plasticizers, coatings and adhesives etc.
A novel biomass cardanol sulfonate surfactant was synthesized using cardanol and oleum as raw materials by sulfonation with fuming sulfuric acid [7].
But those alkylphenol polyethenoxy ether sulfates obtained from petrochemical raw materials are hard to be degraded in the environment for a long time, it will cause environmental pollution.
