Conducting similar experiments, Yang and Xing [69] proved that phenanthrene sorption by TNPs was enhanced significantly by coated humic acids, implying the substantial HOCs sorption by TNPs, since which may act as soil/sediment minerals and be coated over time by NOM, after released in the environment.
