This article presents an example of commissioning of a heated test chamber that is a part of a research apparatus for testing the erosive wear of materials, developed and built at the Institute for Sustainable Technologies – National Research Institute in Radom.
The discussed device is used for testing the erosive wear of material and is equipped with a heated measurement chamber and allows testing the samples in raised temperature.
a) b) Fig. 1. a) The Erosive Wear Tester developed at the Institute for Sustainable Technologies – NRI in Radom [7, 8], b) Block schematic of the test device: AD – air dryer, CH – test chamber, F – abrasive feeder, H – heaters, J – jet, M – motors, PV – proportional valve, TT – turntable, V – valve The device under discussion is a machine for testing the samples of materials, possibly coated with specific surface layers, against the erosive wear [7, 8].
The test consists in subjecting the material to the operation of a stream of air mixed with an abrasive mean, usually the aluminium oxide.

This means that the studied PANI coating materials have higher electrocatalytic
activity to OER, compared to lead.
The overpotential of the anodic reaction (η) can be taken as a measure of the catalytic capacity of the studied materials.
Further work is needed in order to reveal the mechanism details of relative catalytic performances of the studied Pb/PANI anode materials.

Al MMCs are now considered as candidated materials for several important engineering applications.
However, research to establish the detailed wear mechanisms which occur in these materials is still in its infancy and therefore it is not clear which microstructural parameters are important in optimising the wear performance of Al MMCs[5].
Material removal in a ductile material such as aluminum alloy matrix is due to the indentation and ploughing action of the sliding indenters [9].

Highly active and reliable photocatalytic materials are being pursued to increase the utilization of solar energy and thereby the photocatalytic activity.
Based on reasons mentioned above, the photocatalytic materials with strong visible-light absorption are urgently desired.
According to the energy band theory, semiconductor materials of narrow band gap are preferable as the visible-light photocatalysts [9].
To sum up, BiFeO3 is expected to be one kind of promising photocatalytic materials under solar irradiation.
