Materials and methods Wastewater Characteristics.Simulated starch wastewater was used as feed to the interior diversion EGSB, it strength was kept constant at 2000-22300mg/L , the COD in wastewater was provided by starch ,whereas several nutrients and trace elements, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, calcium, iron and magnesium were added, the ratios of COD:N:P were approximately 300:5:1.
