Introduction
Hardness is an important indicator of the material mechanical properties and it has been widely used
in the application of the component materials, coatings, new materials design and so on.
As a result, the blurred image indentation hardness measurements and its definition evaluation are essential in the material hardness measurement system.
Therefore, in connection with the characteristics of the Vickers hardness image, we intend to use the image gradient function as one of the image definition evaluation criteria of the Vickers hardness image of materials.

Aluminum nitride (AlN) exhibits high electromechanical coupling coefficient, high ultrasonic velocity and small thermal expansion coefficient, it is a promising material for bulk acoustic wave (BAW) resonators at such high frequency regions [1].
