Effect of Polymeric Combinations on Mucoadhesive and Swelling Properties of Orabase Gel Formulations

Moreover, the oral cavity is a hydrated environment that enhances water absorption, affecting to reduce mass retaining of the gel and adhesive property [10].
Thus, the appropriate orabase gel should have minimal swelling properties while retaining good adhesive properties.
Formulations 2, 12, 13, 14, and 15 showed medium swelling properties.
The other factors affecting the mucoadhesive properties may be the molecular weight of polymer (>100,000), and hydrogen bonding capacity.
In this study, PVP K90 had molecular weight above 100,000 and gave better adhesive properties.
Thus, the appropriate orabase gel should have minimal swelling properties while retaining good adhesive properties.

Analyzed the main factors affecting machining precision of three jaw self-centring chuck with plane thread.
Plane thread processing errors directly affect the integrated centring accuracy of the three-jaw chuck, thereby affecting the machining accuracy [3].

It is difficult to simulate influences of the two factors to rock mass strength in laboratory tests, because it is difficult to find two samples which are exactly the same except for the dip angles or the confining pressures.
The strain-softening /hardening plasticity model is used to simulate the mechanical behaviors of the samples.
The compression strength increases linearly with the increase of confining pressure if other properties are the same.
