It is considered the material selection is not appropriate, which means the two materials do not mate each other, particularly, the high temperature resistant performance of stationary ring is relatively weak.
The improvement measures 3.1 The replacement of mechanical seal materials improving the sealing performance In order to prevent the thermal crack occurs on friction pairs, material selection is very important.
Materials with good thermal conductivity, high strength, small linear expansion coefficient, and low elastic modulus are favorable for preventing cracking.
The combination of rotary and stationary rings’ materials can have a big impact on sealing performance.
Therefore, the original combination of "tungsten carbide + hard carbon graphite" can be changed to fine grain graphite and silicon carbide materials to improve its performance.

Neutron scattering using diffraction techniques is now recognised as the most precise
and reliable method of mapping sub-surface residual stresses in materials and industrial devices.
A sample of the disc material was also cut from the disc periphery, mounted and prepared for metallographic examination in an optical microscope.
The Vickers hardness of the disc material was measured to be 198 HV30.

Abstract.
Pull Production Management Improvement of the Production System From the value stream mapping current situation analysis, the production cycle of the car-seat assembly system is 14.635 days, among which assembling the finished products only needs 0.635 day, purchasing raw materials and carrying back to company warehouse consumes 7 days and delivering the finished products to customers also consumes 7 days.
Namely before the production of car seat, the warehouse should keep as much as 14-day’s production materials to ensure one week’s safe stock, for half of the 14-day’s production materials would be used during the 7-day period from the production of the car seat to the transporting of the ordering from the suppliers to the warehouse.
Ensure the material be supplied within one day.

The materials used vary based on the required applications, some of which are listed in Table 1.
For most materials when the velocity increases, friction decreases and when duration of contact increases, friction increases.
Temperature has a strong influence on material properties like strength of materials.
