When the initial billet temperature is lower, materials tend to flow down to fill the shaft instead of the teeth.
Fig.7 shows the material flow with different friction conditions, from which we can see that the friction condition has an impact on the material filling both in shaft and teeth.
When μ=0.5, the material flow of upper teeth is roughly equal to that of lower teeth.

Introduction Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is one of the most promising materials widely applied in fields involving environmental purification and decomposition of pollutants, photocatalyst and self cleaning coating, water splitting catalysts for hydrogen generation, gas sensing elements, electrode materials for dye - sensitizing solar battery and energy production and storage [1-4].
Recently, many low dimensional TiO2 materials, such as nanowires, nanotubes and nanorods have been successively synthesized.
Consequently, these materials can be further used in the fields involving photocatalyst, gas sensing elements and selective adsorption materials.
