Cr25Ni35Nb and Cr35Ni45Nb austenitic steel are widely used as candidate materials of ethylene furnace tube due to excellent properties in terms of carburization resistance, oxidation resistance, high temperature creep and strength.
It is concluded from the Fig.4 that temperature gradient between the inner surface and outer surface of Cr25Ni35Nb and Cr35Ni45Nb steel tube without coke layer is 70℃ and 40℃,which is in line with the actual condition that Cr25Ni35Nb steel normally used in the convective coil of ethylene furnace, meanwhile Cr35Ni45Nb steel generally as the candidate materials for the radiant coil of ethylene furnace.
As a consequence, high stress initiates due to heterogeneity of material.

The liner and shell use the Johnson-Cook material model and Gruneisen state equation to describe the dynamic respond process, Johnson-Cook material model is the basic constitutive model for describing the material under the situation with large deformation, high strain rate and high temperature, it is suitable for a great deal of material, include a majority of metal material.
