Introduction Limestone (major ingredient is CaCO3) is usual component in shale rocks and coal gangues, and also a chief criminal causing lime brust of sintering bricks made from these materials [1].
By simulating current sintering technique [4], the raw materials are ground (<2 mm) and mixed in term of rock/coal mass ration of 20:1.
It can be seen that, the more fine the granulity of limestone in the raw materials is, the more high the critical content of limestone is.

Currently it is well documented that semi solid materials show shear thinning thixotropic behavior [1,2].

The heat distortion temperatures (HDT) of samples were measured on a vicat softening testing machine (ZWK-3, Shenzhen New Sans Materials Detection Co., LTD) according to ASTM D648.

These compounds would be blow away by molten iron and/or slag, and result in continuous corrosion of refractories materials; meanwhile, the oxidation of carbon would cause pores formation inside, and this would accelerate the corrosion of refractory materials, because Pores are main throughs for oxygen diffusion and slag penetration.
Raw materials listed in Table.1 were used to prepare Al2O3-SiC-C castable samples.
Balancing 3kg raw materials according to Table 1, and then mixing for half one minute, successively, 5.5wt% water was added into mixture, keep mixing, the total mixing time is 5 minutes.

The nominal yield strength Fy = 345 MPa was assigned to the steel material for the columns and struts.
That value was reduced by 5% in the first tier to simulate possible variations in material properties.
